Gold Supporter

Dedicated by Austin Rose
in Memory of His father
Dr Arnold Elihu Rose
Dr. Arnold Elihu Rose was born in Toronto in 1913 - the grandson of David
Rosenberg, who had moved his family from Kiev, Ukraine to Canada in 1885.
After graduating from medical school at the University of Toronto, he served
in the Canadian Armed Forces during WW II.
Following the war, he worked as a caring and dedicated family physician, practicing for many years in
Ontario, Canada before moving to Southern California where he finally
retired at the age of 82. He had belonged to synagogues in Ontario,
California and Durham, North Carolina and was an ardent supporter of the
State of Israel. He spent his retirement years with his wife Doreen and
family
here in Chapel Hill and was a great fan of the University. His
children often bragged to friends and colleagues about his great claim to
fame - delivering "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky, though he certainly
helped and cared for thousands of other thankful patients.
